Moral stories from Indian folklore and confidence building activities like pick and speak brought a positive change in the lives of students studying in a Kannada medium school supported by SENA Foundation. These activities helped students learn values and skills in a way that was simple, meaningful, and connected to their everyday lives. The moral stories from Indian folklore were very effective for Kannada medium students. Instead of learning values only from textbooks, students listened to stories that spoke about honesty, kindness, courage, and respect. The stories were explained in an easy manner so that students could understand and relate to them. Through these stories, students learned the importance of good behaviour, helping others, and taking responsibility for their actions. Slowly, these values started reflecting in their daily life, both in school and at home. Students became more disciplined, respectful, and thoughtful in their actions. Confidence building activities like pick and speak played a major role in overcoming fear among students. Many Kannada medium students were hesitant to speak in front of others, especially in English. The pick and speak activity encouraged students to express their thoughts freely without fear of making mistakes. Students were given simple topics and words to speak about, which helped them gain confidence step by step. Over time, even shy students began to participate actively. Their communication skills improved, and they developed courage to speak in public. These activities also benefited the volunteers of SENA Foundation. While guiding students, volunteers developed patience, leadership, and better communication skills. They learned how to support students from diverse backgrounds and understood the challenges faced by Kannada medium learners. Volunteers also gained satisfaction by seeing the growth and confidence in students, which strengthened their commitment towards social service. Through moral storytelling and confidence building activities, SENA Foundation succeeded in nurturing value based education. Kannada medium students not only improved their communication skills but also developed strong moral values. At the same time, volunteers grew as responsible individuals who believe in education that builds both knowledge and character.
