Refund & Cancellation Policy

SENA Foundation is committed to transparency and fairness in handling donation refunds and cancellations. This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for refunds and cancellations, in compliance with RBI guidelines.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be processed in the following cases:

  • Technical errors resulting in multiple charges
  • Incorrect amount deduction
  • Unauthorized transactions
  • Donor's request within the stipulated timeframe

Non-eligible Cases:

  • Donations already utilized for charitable purposes
  • Requests made after the refund timeframe
  • Cases where 80G certificates have been issued (unless original is returned)

2. Timeframes

  • Refund Request Window: Within 48 hours (2 working days) of donation
  • Processing Time: 5-7 working days after request validation
  • Bank Settlement: Additional 2-3 working days as per RBI guidelines
  • Communication: Updates within 24 hours of request receipt

3. Refund Request Process

  1. Email request to senafoundation.help@gmail.com with:
    • Donation Reference Number
    • Transaction ID
    • Amount
    • Date of transaction
    • Reason for refund
  2. Attach proof of transaction/deduction
  3. Provide bank account details for refund transfer
  4. Submit any additional documentation if requested

4. Cancellation Procedures

4.1 Pre-transaction Cancellation

  • Cancel before final payment confirmation
  • No charges for cancellation at payment gateway
  • Automated reversal for incomplete transactions

4.2 Post-transaction Cancellation

  • Follow refund request process
  • Subject to eligibility criteria
  • Time limits apply as per refund policy

5. Fees and Deductions

  • No processing fee for genuine refund cases
  • Bank charges, if any, will be communicated
  • Payment gateway fees are non-refundable
  • TDS deductions, if applicable, will be adjusted

6. RBI Guidelines Compliance

  • All refunds processed through banking channels only
  • Digital payments handled as per Payment and Settlement Systems Act
  • Records maintained for regulatory timeframe
  • KYC verification for high-value refunds
